The Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) is a mandatory academic component for all NIOS students. It carries 20 marks for each subject and must be submitted to your Study Centre before the examination date.
Each TMA consists of structured questions from your course material — completing it carefully can significantly boost your overall score. It is compulsory for both 10th (Secondary) and 12th (Sr. Secondary) students.
TMA contributes 20 out of 100 total marks — a crucial edge toward your final grade.
TMA must be submitted at your Study Centre before the exam deadline — no exceptions.
Upload your completed TMA PDF file to the NIOS Student Dashboard before the last date.
Don’t leave these marks on the table — a well-prepared TMA can mean the difference between pass and fail.

Use standard A4 size file pages for handwriting your TMA, or prepare a neatly typed document if submitting digitally.
Write your full name, enrolment number, reference number, subject name & code, and Study Centre name & code on the cover page.
Mention the current examination session (e.g., April 2026) and the date of preparation clearly on the first page.
Answer all TMA questions from each lesson carefully. Use your course material and solved TMA guide for reference.
Scan your handwritten TMA or export the typed version as a PDF. Ensure all pages are clear and legible.
Log in to your NIOS student dashboard and upload the TMA PDF file for each subject before the submission deadline.
Solved TMA PDFs available for all major subjects — both Hindi and English medium — for the current session 2025–26.

TMA must be submitted before the deadline announced by NIOS. Late submission may result in TMA not being accepted. Always check the NIOS website for the exact last date of the current session.
NIOS accepts both handwritten and typed TMA. Handwritten is preferred by many Study Centres. Ensure your handwriting is clear and legible. Typed TMA should use a standard readable font.
While you may refer to solved TMA guides, always write in your own words. Identical copies submitted by multiple students may be rejected. Use the solved TMA as a reference, not a copy.
In addition to submitting a physical copy at your Study Centre, NIOS now requires students to upload the TMA PDF on the NIOS student dashboard before the last date. Both submissions are mandatory.
